Grow Forth is a 7-minute video game demo I made to support my Masters Thesis research surrounding the use of music in gaming as an accessibility tool. All 2D/3D art, animation, programming, and music composition was done from scratch over a 3 month period.
Grow Forth uses basic emotion-based mechanics to study how emotional cognition can be developed through acoustic associations in video games to further inclusive gaming experiences.
It looks at composition and music theory through a microscopic lens to uncover how universally understood sound can be used as a communication tool in gameplay.
